Skyryse enjoyed a great panel this week at NBAA-BACE, home to the largest Business Aviation Conference in the United States. Skyryse CEO Mark Groden was a featured panelist on "How AI Is Changing Business Aviation Today".

Mark Groden opened the session by explaining what AI is, saying, “AI is as broad of a term as saying ‘software,’” adding printer troubleshooters were an early example of AI.

Among the other topics discussed were:

  • The two broad categories of AI, and why one may not be a realistic path forward for general aviation
  • The possibilities for AI to help the industry reach net zero carbon emissions
  • Primary differences between automation, AI, and autopilot systems
  • Why fly-by-wire technology alone is not a complete safety solution for general aviation

Mark has spent his entire life working on making an automated future a reality, and simply put, the capability is just not there yet to safely adopt non-deterministic AI solutions, using fully autonomous systems to replace human in a consumer transportation landscape. To learn more about Skyryse's vision and technology, we hope you enjoy the NBAA-BACE panel above.
